Kangana will once again play a gangster's girlfriend in the upcoming film Shootout at Wadala.

She has previously taken on similar roles in Gangster and the blockbuster Once Upon a Time in Mumbai.

Ranaut told : "From my first film till this one, I am playing a lover to Don or gangster. It is quite a coincidence. I have not deliberately chosen these kinds of films. This film script is very special, I liked it very much. So I wanted to be part of it.

"I don't think it really matters in how many films I have played gangster's girlfriend. But this film is different from what I have done earlier."

In November, the actress admitted that she sees 2012 as a landmark year for her career because she has several high-profile films coming out.

Kangana Ranaut is working pretty hard these days to acquire the desi Lara Croft image before she starts shooting for Krrish 2.

She has been taking inspiration from Hollywood action flicks and is particularly inspired by Hilary Swank's role in The Next Karate Kid. A source said Kangana has been taking Karate lessons for quite some time now. Hilary had looked hot and at the same time tough in The Next Karate Kid and Kangana seems to be the perfect blend as well.

Talking about her rigorous training sessions, she said: "I wanted to be completely prepared physically before we kickstart the shooting for Krrish 2." With such gusto and ardour, it seems Kangana is all set to become the first tough woman of Bollywood.

Kangana Ranaut is slowly making it to my list of the top fashionista in bollywood. She knows fashion and loves to experiment and most times she looks great.

Gloves were a huge thing on the runways for Fall 2010. Ms Ranaut seems to have caught the trend.

Bollywood sweetheart, Salman Khan has found a new friend in Gangster girl Kangna Ranaut. This has currently become the HOT topic in B-town.

Grapevine has it that this new friendship has fetched the actress a role in an untitled flick opposite Salman Khan. The film is a Hindi remake of Manjerkar’s Marathi film Mee Shivajiarje Bhosle Boltoy. While it was obvious that Salman would cast his all time favorite, Katrina Kaif in the lead, he shocked us once again by announcing his current favorite Kangna Ranaut as his leading lady in his home production.

Kangana Ranaut’s talent is being increasingly recognized by directors not just in India but abroad as well. Toronto-based director of Indian origin Deepa Mehta, whose film Water was nominated for Oscars two years back, has finalized Kangana to play a very important role in her cinematic adaptation of author Salman Rushdie’s Booker winning novel ‘Midnight’s Children’.

Kangana will play a woman married to a Pakistani politician. Her character’s name is Emerald and she is described in Rushdie’s book as pretty and cryptic.

We hear that from the start Deepa Mehta wanted Kangana to play the role. Kangana, who’s slightly eccentric but in a gorgeous way, fits the role perfectly.

Deepa has confirmed Kangana’s presence in the film. The shooting will begin next year.

Bollywood’s angel faced Kangna Ranaut has been approached to play Asian Brand Ambassador for Paris Hilton Fashions (PHF).

Kangana will be the first Indian actress if she takes Hilton’s fashion lead of the Asian sub-continent.
Still riding the success of her latest movie Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, her retro style and looks has worked like a magic wand for her and has suddenly gained demand in the international market.
Buzz is that, Kangna has reportedly been offered a ‘staggering’ amount to endorse Paris’s clothing line.

Sources reveal, “The brand carries Paris’signature style — fun, flashy, bright. Kangana was short listed because of her edgy approach to fashion. She is considered to be a stylish girl who experiments, takes risks and sets trends.”

Well, Kangna does create a style statement where ever she goes. She has even plans to launch her own clothing line in near future.

Kangana Ranaut- Does Justified Haji Mastan's Wife Character?

Milan Luthria’s Friday release. most critics are of the opinion that “Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai” is based on the life of Haji Mastan, the gangster who ruled Mumbaai during the 1970s, the actors have vehemently disagreed with their perception. Ajay Devgn has repeatedly made it clear to the media that he is not the gangster in the film, and co-star Kangana Ranaut has also refused to accept that she plays the role of Haji Mastan’s wife in the film.

Speaking to the media during a promotional shoot for “Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai”, Kangana Ranaut not only says that she is not Haji Mastan’s wife, but emphasizes on the fact that her character is not based on any real life personality. Through the actress’ words it is apparent that she is not happy that her film has got involved in such distasteful controversies, which have even led the producers to court.

It is the special retro look that Kangana Ranaut adopted to achieve the yesteryear actress look in “Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai” that initially led the critics to believe that she is indeed the gangster’s wife in the film. It is believed that Haji Mastan was involved with an actress during his times. However the National Award winning actress says that it was the period in which the film is based that led to her styling in the movie, saying that a period film requires a lot of research before rounding up on the right costumes and hairstyles.

Kangana Ranut to Romance Salman Khan onscreen

Finally, the ‘Gangster’ gal Kangana Ranaut has bagged a role opposite Salman Khan. Salman himself suggested Kangana’s name for his maiden production to be directed by Mahesh Manjrekar. The actress has delivered some stupendous performance like ‘Woh Lamhe’, ‘Gangster’, ‘Fashion’, ‘Life In A Metro’ in her career. On looking at her bold act and glamorous looks, Salman Khan chooses Kangana over Katrina Kaif or Zarine Khan.

Talking about Salman casting Kangna, the source said, “Salman and Manjrekar wanted someone who could emote very strongly and look glamorous too.” Director Mahesh Manjrekar however confirmed the news but he did not divulge further details about the film as it is still in the embryonic stage. Revealing about the film, he said, “The film will have a lot of elements. It will be a hard-hitting film with its fair share of comedy”.

The film is said to be a remake of his recent Marathi film, Shikshanacha Aaicha Gho. Few days ago, Kangana has signed Sanjay Dutt’s production ‘Rascals’ also.
