Kangana will once again play a gangster's girlfriend in the upcoming film Shootout at Wadala.

She has previously taken on similar roles in Gangster and the blockbuster Once Upon a Time in Mumbai.

Ranaut told : "From my first film till this one, I am playing a lover to Don or gangster. It is quite a coincidence. I have not deliberately chosen these kinds of films. This film script is very special, I liked it very much. So I wanted to be part of it.

"I don't think it really matters in how many films I have played gangster's girlfriend. But this film is different from what I have done earlier."

In November, the actress admitted that she sees 2012 as a landmark year for her career because she has several high-profile films coming out.

Kangana Ranaut is working pretty hard these days to acquire the desi Lara Croft image before she starts shooting for Krrish 2.

She has been taking inspiration from Hollywood action flicks and is particularly inspired by Hilary Swank's role in The Next Karate Kid. A source said Kangana has been taking Karate lessons for quite some time now. Hilary had looked hot and at the same time tough in The Next Karate Kid and Kangana seems to be the perfect blend as well.

Talking about her rigorous training sessions, she said: "I wanted to be completely prepared physically before we kickstart the shooting for Krrish 2." With such gusto and ardour, it seems Kangana is all set to become the first tough woman of Bollywood.
