Kangana Ranaut bags Rs.5 crore for a film

Ever since she won a National Award for Fashion, Kangna Ranaut seems to have decided she won’t be selling herself short any longer.

Kangana Ranaut recently demanded – and got – Rs 5 crore for a film which is to be directed by Tanvir Khan, who last directed Deadline.

Sources said,“Kangna has come a long way from the days of her debut film Gangster. Directors realise her potential and have no qualms in giving her the fee she deserves.”

However, Kangna, on her part, said, “I can’t discuss my fee.”

Kangana Ranawat’s sister gets justice

The court’s verdict has resulted in a five-year sentence for the two men behind the crime. The Chief Judicial Magistrate sentenced held Avinash and his friend Prem Singh guilty of throwing acid on Rangoli, yesterday.

The case had been running for over four years now. The actress, who had been very vocal about the attack on her sister in 2006, is happy to see justice served. “While we cannot get back the years my sister lost, I am happy to see that the people behind this have been punished,” said Kangana.

In October 2006 , Rangoli’s ex-lover Avinash had asked Singh to throw acid on her for ending their relationship. It is believed that Singh entered into the Ranaut home proclaiming that he was there to deliver a courier and then threw acid on her when she arrived to the door. The damage caused was quite extensive, with serious burn injuries on Rangoli’s face and other parts of the body.

Soon after the incident, Kangana, who was then filming for Shakalaka Boom Boom, made arrangements for her sister to be flown to Mumbai and looked at by the best doctors in the field. Over the past few years, it is believed that Rangoli has undergone several cosmetic surgeries to help restore her facial structure.

Kangana Ranaut is learning British accent

Abhinay Deo’s ‘Crooked’, which has been in trouble for various reasons, has finally steered clear of its problems; at least for now.

First Aishwarya Rai Bachchan dropped out of the project and Soniya Jehan was ushered in to replace her. Now, Kangana Ranaut will be playing the UK-based undercover cop in ‘Crooked’. However, there is just a week’s time left and that is how long Kangana has to pick up a British accent and learn the moves required to play an athletic cop onscreen.

Kangana is helpless as she can’t refer to any other Hindi film to prepare for her character. To top it all, her director too isn’t exactly being helpful as after shooting all night, he sleeps during the day.

Though it is common knowledge that Aishwarya was chosen to play the role before Kangana, the latter still insists that she was indeed the first choice. She talks about how producer Ritesh Sidhwani approached her once again with the film at short notice and she had to somehow accommodate it into her schedule. While she states that she cannot talk about the film, she admits that her role is different from anything she has ever played before. We wonder what Kangana, who is closely associated with her Himachali accent, will sound like when speaking with a British one.

Kangana Ranaut To work in Crooked

Kangana Ranaut is all set to mark her presence in farhan Akhtar's film 'Crooked' for the role opposite Abhishek Bachchan that was earlier destined for former Miss World, Aishwarya Rai.

Also, Pakistani actress Sonia Jahan’s was approached to play the role but the actress could not managed to get the work permit and the role went on to eligible Kangana Ranaut.

Post her National award win for the best supporting actress in 'Fashion', Kangana was quoted saying that she wasn’t to leave for her home and relax with her near ones.

But now, the actress has got some good reasond to stay connected to Bollywood.

Kangana Ranaut sizzles at 'Dulha Mil Gaya' premiere

Kangana Ranaut rocked a strapless olive green mini dress at the Mumbai premiere of Mudassar Aziz helemed Dulha Mil Gaya starring Sushmita Sen and Fardeen Khan on January 7 at Cinemax, Versova.

Kangana showed her newly acquired curves in a body hugging dress that had origami pleated top and scalloped black beadwork on the skirt.

Sans jewelry, the Fashion star accessorized with black peeptoe pumps with buckle top and black box clutch.

Her pulled back hairdo accentuated her lovely facial features. She wore light lip color keeping the focus on eyes with thick eyeliner on eyelids and multiple coats of mascara.
