Kangana got injured on set of "Tanu weds manu"

Kangana Ranaut, the ‘Dhaam Dhoom’ girl, was injured while shooting for her Bollywood film ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ in Jalandhar. The incident took place when a bike she was riding skidded off and injured her foot.

If reports are to be believed, Kangana was riding pillion in the said sequence. The bike skidded off all of a sudden and the actress fractured her foot in the freak accident. She was immediately admitted to a hospital by unit members.

It is said that doctors have advised her to stay away from action for the next few days. Following this, the shoot has been cancelled for the moment and the filmmakers are praying for the speedy recovery of the actress, reports added.

“She has a minor fracture and has been advised bed rest for at least a week. We are very concerned about her. We arranged for the best orthopaedic surgeon to do the surgery. We will figure out what happens to the shoot later. Right now, our only concern is that she gets well soon,” producer Shailesh Singh was quoted as saying.

Kangana Ranaut had Birthday special by ‘Crooked’ Crew

Kangana Ranaut who is known for her professionalism, instead of throwing a bash, she was busy working on her birthday. However, her fellow cast and crew members from the film ‘Crooked’ made sure Kangna’s day would be special. They organised a party and cut a very cute cake on the sets of the film. Kangana Ranaut receives Best Supporting Actress award from President

Kangana Ranaut received the Best Supporting Actress award from President, Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil, on March 19, 2010, on the eve of her 23rd birthday.

She was honored at the 56th National Films Awards function at Vigyaan Bhavan in New Delhi for her role as model Shonali Gujral in Madhur Bhandarkar written and directed Hindi film Fashion.

Kangana will be next seen in Anurag Basu's Kites with co-stars Hrithik Roshan and Barbara Mori.

Kangana Ranaut bags Rs.5 crore for a film

Ever since she won a National Award for Fashion, Kangna Ranaut seems to have decided she won’t be selling herself short any longer.

Kangana Ranaut recently demanded – and got – Rs 5 crore for a film which is to be directed by Tanvir Khan, who last directed Deadline.

Sources said,“Kangna has come a long way from the days of her debut film Gangster. Directors realise her potential and have no qualms in giving her the fee she deserves.”

However, Kangna, on her part, said, “I can’t discuss my fee.”
